For the fifth year in a row, the Club of Carinthian Students (KKŠ) and the Ravne Gallery (KGLU) are organizing a contest of contemporary visual art.
In the past three years, the art competition called Carinthia, who are you? was searching for young Carinthian artists, and in 2022, as part of the celebration of KKŠ’s 70th anniversary, we decided to open the Carinthian landscape to the whole of Slovenia. This year, we renamed the contest to Forma viva Ravne+ and expanded it to neighbouring countries as well.
This year again the contest, which has no set theme, open to all young visual artists between the ages of 18 and 29. The award is given for high-quality and innovative artworks created in the last two years, or for a developed exhibition concept with a focus on installation or sculpture in the Ravne Gallery.
The main prize of the contest is a solo exhibition at the Ravne Gallery.
The purpose of the competition is to encourage young artists’ creativity and to offer them the opportunity to present their artistic oeuvre to the general public. Artists can submit works in the medium of painting, sculpture, print, drawing, installation, photography, video and new media.
The contest is open until 2 July 2023.
