The exhibition of the Slovenian finalists of the 34th international Peace Poster contest with the slogan “We are all connected” will be on display in the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Koroška from 1 PM on 26 March 26 2022.
The international Peace Poster contest has been organized by Lions Clubs around the world for more than 30 years. The purpose of the contest is to encourage children aged 11 to 13 to think about life, world peace, the future, love and mutual understanding.
The selection of artworks from the schools of the Koroška region was made by the curator Katarina Hergold Germ from the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Koroška, the art educator Kaja Jeseničnik and a member of the Slovenj Gradec Lions Club, Hubert Dolinšek. They evaluated the art and selected five works for the club prize and the opportunity to participate in the national exhibition.
94 elementary schools participated in the Slovenian selection. The expert jury selected 24 posters at the national level and awarded first place to the poster by Anja Rožen from the Prežihov Voranc Ravne na Koroškem elementary school in Carinthia, which also won the Lions Club International final selection in the USA.
The exhibition will be on display at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Koroška until 3 April 2022.
