EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME FOR INDIVIDUALS
Berneker’s creative workshops are intended for children aged and over and for elementary school students who attend the workshops either individually or as part of school groups. Together with the education curators, the children first visit the current exhibition, so they get acquainted with basic art concepts and receive simple information about the authors featured in the exhibition and their works; and in the second part the children create their own unique works of art related to the exhibition they have just seen.  [showhide] The children discover art with the help of the fairy tale character Koki the Little Raven, who is the mascot of Berneker’s creative workshops, and who addresses children through the fairy tale entitled How Koki the Little Raven Became the Keeper of the Gallery Collection. The educational part of the workshop is designed in such a way that Koki the Little Raven encourages children to be creative, to think critically and to connect art with everyday life, at the same time providing children their first contact with the gallery and contemporary artistic production. In the creative part of the workshop, the children create their own works and become familiar with different artistic techniques and materials. Each creative workshop is carefully planned and tested beforehand. The workshops take place at least once a month at the KGLU Slovenj Gradec and at the Ravne Gallery; alongside the regular monthly workshops there are also holiday workshops during the summertime.

Duration: 100 minutes
Suitable for: pre-school and elementary school children
Price: 1,5 EUR per person [/showhide]

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME FOR GROUPS
In addition to the exhibitions we also provide guided tours, educational classes with workshops and lectures for groups. The activities are designed for all age groups, from pre-school to upper high school. Children and youths can discover and explore works of art with the help of learning assignments that encourage them to think and observe. Guidance and classes include a detailed introduction to the chosen topic and a collection or current exhibition, which may be followed by a short creative workshop. Through artistic expression children develop their observation skills, understanding and experience of art. We can visit you at your kindergarten, school or other institution, present the gallery’s work, hold the selected creative workshop and introduce the educational programme mascot Koki the Little Raven. [showhide]
