On Friday, 26 August 2022, at 7 PM, we are opening the exhibition of steel sculptures by Tobias Putrih entitled Steel Industry. With it, he highlights the more than 400-year-old tradition of metal-working in the region and, on the other hand, is a reference to Forma viva Ravne, a collection of 36 steel sculptures that stand in the city and its surroundings.

The exhibition “Steel Industry” consists of two parts. In the first part, we can see a wall painting consisting of seven coloured strips that descend from the ceiling to the floor. The colour scheme follows the most common colours found in images when the phrase “steel industry” is entered in a web browser. In the second part of the exhibition, we can see 22 steel forgings on a large platform built for this purpose. Tobias Putrih chose the forgings in cooperation with the company Metal Ravne’s development engineers.

The exhibition was curated by Jernej Kožar and it will be on display in the Ravne Gallery until 4 November 2022.
