Yesterday, on 19 October 2022, at the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum, the ICOM Slovenia association announced the winners of professional awards with the aim of encouraging, popularizing and promoting the international networking of Slovenian museum thought and work. Once again, two awards were presented, namely the Award for internationally recognized projects and the Award for promoting the annually selected ICOM theme, this year’s title was The Power of Museums.
This year’s recipients of the ICOM Slovenia Award for work in the international field are dr. Andreja Hribernik from the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Koroška and Maja Antončič from the Celje Center for Contemporary Arts. They received the award for the project International group exhibition Onkraj meja/Beyond Borders.
The recipients of the ICOM Slovenia Award for promoting the annually selected ICOM theme are Živa Rogelj, Nataša Braunsberger and Kaja Cajhen from the National Gallery. They received the award for the project National Gallery, a Dementia-Friendly Spot.
