Jan Forsberg (1932, Stockholm – 2012, Solna, Stockholm), Swedish painter and printmaker, studied at the painting school of Signe Barth and the Academy of Fine Art/Kungliga Konsthögskolan in Stockholm. He experimented with new printing media, he often incorporated fragments of poster texts into his works. He went on study trips to Greece, Yugoslavia and the USA. He exhibited in his home country and abroad; in the USA, Yugoslavia (twice at the International Biennial of Graphic Arts in Ljubljana), Canada and Denmark. His works can be found in the collections of the most important museums: Moderna Museet in Stockholm, British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, MOMA …
He exhibited at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Koroška in 1966 and 1967 at the international exhibition Peace, Humanity and Friendship among Nations, where he won the first prize for his prints.
