On 18 May, museums and galleries around the world celebrate International Museum Day. ICOM Slovenia wants to draw attention to and promote the strength and values of Slovenian museums, so they invited all museums to participate in the preparation of joint activities and organized a two-week outdoor poster exhibition of Slovenian museums (TAM-TAM), which the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Koroška joined as well. The common thread of the exhibited posters is the theme “The power of museums”. The Museum’s poster presents the mascot of our educational programmes, Koki the Raven, this time reimagined as “Superkoki”.
For two weeks, the posters all across Ljubljana will encourage visitors to visit museums and will be placed in prominent locations in the city. The exhibition will take place from 17 to 30 May 2022, and a virtual exhibition will also be arranged from the posters, which will be on display online.
On Wednesday, 18 May 2022, museums and galleries across Slovenia will also mark our day with free admission and plenty of diverse cultural events.
