On 18 May, museums and galleries across the world commemorate the International Museum Day. This year’s Museum Day is devoted to the future of museums and crucial social changes, as well as the challenges of recovery after the epidemic. On Tuesday, 18 May 2021, museums and galleries in Slovenia will mark the day with free admission and a variety of different cultural events.
ICOM Slovenia, in cooperation with TAMTAM and Slovenian museums and galleries, is organizing an exhibition of 35 posters, which are inviting visitors to cultural institutions across Slovenia. The urban gallery of posters based on the theme The Future of Museums: Recover and Reimagine will be on display in Ljubljana between 18 and 24 May 2021. The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Koroška created its poster, composed of recognizable images of the Museum, in cooperation with the illustrator Jernej Žumer. The poster will be on view at advertising spaces in Slovenj Gradec and in Ravne na Koroškem.
