We are pleased to announce the second part of Tadej Pogačar’s project, which is being created within the programme A Journey of Arte Utile by the non-governmental organization in public interest raum AU, in cooperation with the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Koroška. You are invited to Tretjak’s African collection in the Carinthian Regional Museum in Slovenj Gradec on Friday, 21 October 2022, at 6 PM. The event is a tribute to the giants of contemporary art and poetry, Pino Poggi and Ivan Volarič Fe.
For the first time in twenty years, the members of the legendary band Srp (ing. Gojmir Lešnjak, doc. Dr. Primož Simončič, dr. Matjaž Sekne, izr. prof. Tadej Pogačar) will perform together in Slovenia. Academician Dejan Habicht will join them.
The group Srp formed one third of the non-conformist movement Rock in Opposition, which emerged in Slovenia in the second half of the 1970s and early 1980s. They performed their own mixture of free jazz improvisation, chamber music and popular genres with elements of the theatre of the absurd. In 1984, they recorded an LP with the title Srp at the ZKP RTV Ljubljana label, and in 2002 a CD with the title The Last Supper (1981–1984) at the Nika label. As authors and performers of music, they participated in many theatre performances in Cankarjev dom, Mala drama and Mladinsko Theatre.
The songs will be interpreted in their original languages.
We are looking forward to your visit!
