KOKI’S EXHIBITION OF CHILDREN’S COLOURING BOOKS
>> On display from 15 May in the lobby of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Koroška
On 15 May 2021, this year’s International Day of Families, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Koroška is opening Koki’s Exhibition of Children’s Colouring Books, which were made with great enthusiasm by our youngest visitors using colour pencils, markers and paint – due to the current conditions, from their own homes. Koki the Raven is a mascot for our educational programmes and his image was created for the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art by the local artist Tjaša Rener several years ago.
Our young artists were asked to give Koki a fresh and unique look for this occasion with the help of their vivid children’s imagination. On the International Day of Families, the many mischievous Kokis shined in their completely new attire and colourful feathers in the lobby of our gallery in Slovenj Gradec. All of the drawings were also published on the Museum’s website and Facebook profile.
You are welcome to visit the mini exhibition in the Museum’s lobby every workday from 7 AM to 7 PM, and from 10 AM to 7 PM during the weekend.
During the Families Week, between 15 and 23 May 2021, we are also giving families of all shapes a chance to visit the galleries in Slovenj Gradec and Ravne free of charge, thus encouraging them to spend quality free time by forming new cultural experiences.
