HERMAN WALENTA

Herman Walenta was born in 1923 in Drosendorf, Austria. During the years 1940–1941 and 1945–1948, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Josef Müllner and Fritz Wotruba. He participated in many exhibitions in his home country and abroad, among others at the Venice Biennial in 1951 with his prints and in 1956 with his sculptures. He participated in several sculpting symposia and received numerous awards, such as the City of Vienna Award in 1958. He died in 2018.
