In the sixties, Pečko started to create mosaics. The mosaic Forest from 1965, located in the building of the former company Lesna, which today houses the Slovenj Gradec School Centre, belongs to the first period of their production. The draft, with the motif of abstracted trees with a refined and compositionally firm structure and radically stylized forms, provides the basis for a mosaic made with natural pebbles, which is still one of Pečko’s best mosaic realizations.
